Our original idea had been to complete the Bann Challenge
once, then, when it was completed to look at some other way to challenge
ourselves, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
To see some useful information for this challenge see
the River Bann page on this site
in
Rivers Ireland, and remember, the Bann Challenge has yet to be completed 'non-stop'. The
Challenge is for any individual or team to travel the length of the River Bann
in Northern Ireland, non-stop using no mechanical means of transport or propulsion.
For many it may be a good idea to do the challenge with at least one overnight
stop in order to gauge the distance, difficulties and conditions
before attempting the non-stop version.
The first Bann Challenge (2008) ended after 25 non-stop gruelling
hours.
